What happens when you come in?

Your first appointment is about making sense of your problem - what’s causing your symptoms, how it’s affecting you, and what needs to happen next.

We’ll assess your body and movements, explain what we think is causing the problem, and identify whether there’s anything that needs further investigation.

From there, we’ll work with you on a plan to settle your symptoms, restore movement and function, and reduce the likelihood of the problem returning.

What will treatment involve?

Treatment depends on what we find during your assessment and what you need to get back to.

It may include hands-on treatment to help settle pain and restore movement, together with exercise and practical advice to help you move comfortably and rebuild your capacity.

As things improve, treatment should change too — with less reliance on treatment and more confidence in managing your body yourself.

Who will see you?
